The USA North 811 Damage Prevention Certification is comprehensive online training program specifically designed to have a positive impact on the reduction of damage to subsurface installations while improving overall excavator knowledge and safety.
The USA North 811 online Damage Prevention Certification Program is intended to provide the learner with the required information to safely manage and execute excavation activities near subsurface installations while complying with excavation laws, regulations and best practices proven to contribute to the prevention of damage to subsurface installations. These include, but are not limited to, state & federal regulatory requirements, Common Ground Alliance (CGA) best practices as well as industry recognized excavation best practices.
The USA North 811 Damage Prevention Training will take approximately 2-3 hours to complete depending on the learner. The training is comprised of three chapters covering the multiple phases of an excavation project. The training program is fully responsive, mobile friendly and can be completed on a desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile device**.
The training includes a challenging final exam comprised of 58 randomly generated questions. The learner has a maximum of 2 exam attempts to achieve a grade of 80% or higher. If the student does not pass the exam after the second attempt, the learner will be required to complete the training again from the beginning.
Upon successful completion the training and exam, the learner will receive the USA North 811 Damage Prevention Certificate of Achievement. The certificate includes the learners name, company name, a user specific certificate number and the certification expiration date which is one (1) year from the date of issuance.
The USA North 811 Damage Prevention Certification Program has received the Gold Shovel Certification and can be utilized by a private corporation to comply with the training requirements to obtain Gold Shovel Standard Certification.
